Analise Pickerrell, Senior Life&Arts Reporter
Analise is a junior journalism major from Folsom, California, and is now based in Austin. She’s currently a Life & Arts senior reporter and Comics illustrator. When her brain stops working, you will often find her fangirling over her cats, hanging out with her sisters or making lattes at a cafe.
Kuba is a senior studying Arts and Entertainment Technologies. He moved to the United States from Poland more than nine years ago and feels at home in Texas. As a senior comics illustrator, he entertains the Daily Texan readers with his comic strip “Paul,” drawing and coloring new adventures and misadventures of its titular pigeon. In his free time, Kuba likes to bike, write, hike, and make art.

Colin Day, Comics Editor
Colin is a senior majoring Arts & Entertainment Technologies and pursuing a certificate in Programming and Computation from Austin, Texas. He has been with the Daily Texan comics department since Spring of 2024 and served as both general illustrator and associate editor before being hired as the department’s editor. Outside of comics and illustrations for the Texan, he likes to work on projects in other mediums such as video games or animation.
Amara is a senior studying studio art and digital arts & media from Dallas, Texas. She is currently working as a senior comics illustrator. Aside from art, she loves animals, reading, working out, and drinking tea.

Angela John, Senior Comics Illustrator
Angela John is a junior pursuing Neuroscience and minoring in Sociology and Malayalam from Dallas, Texas. She is a senior comic illustrator for The Daily Texan and also creates social media content for official UT Austin accounts. When she’s not in the newsroom, she works as a Patient Care Technician and volunteers at local hospitals. In her free time, she enjoys reading, trying new coffee shops, and taking NYT Connections far too seriously.
