Rafael Salazar and Katherine Jones walk back to their apartment after grocery shopping at HEB in the Brentwood neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon. Salazar and Jones met at the Salvation Army and consider each other as a “good provider, best friend, and emotional support.” Both were homeless for a few months after losing their jobs, but managed to find a place to live in by the help of many people such as social workers and food stamps.
