The City of Austin announced Wednesday the list of 11 bike share kiosk sites that will open on Dec. 21. In June, Austin City Council approved a $150,000 partnership with Bike Share of Austin as a managing partner and system operator, as well as an equipment contract with vendor B-Cycle. B-Cycle systems are in use in 17 cities around the country.
The Austin locations will be:
11th Street and Congress Avenue
Eighth Street and Congress Avenue
Fifth and Bowie streets
Fourth and Guadalupe streets
Fourth Street and Congress Avenue
Fourth and Neches streets
Second and Lavaca streets
Second and Brazos streets
Barton Springs Road and Riverside Drive
James Street and Congress Avenue
Elizabeth Street and Congress Avenue
