Day two of the ACL festival provided a well-rounded experience, showing off acts from multiple genres.

Best: Cage the Elephant put on a fantastic show, not only performing their discography to a T but also giving their all in theatrics. As a rainbow appeared in the background, fans were wowed with the likes of “Cigarette Daydreams” and “Teeth.”

Although he was wearing a jacket, Kendrick Lamar kept it cool throughout his entire performance, pausing on several occasions to connect with the audience. Most songs featured extended jams, showing off Kendrick’s live band and his impeccable flow.

As a one-man shows, Jack Garratt put on one of the most energetic sets of the day. His blues-infused guitar riffs combined with digital drums and other percussive elements provided one of the best overall performances of the festival.

Worst: City and Colour might now have been the worst act on Saturday, but their set lacked the energy many other performers were able to nail down. The band felt a bit stiff, performing to a lackluster crowd.
