Men’s Swimming and Diving: Dual Meet

The Longhorns performed at a high level this weekend but came away with a bittersweet taste in their mouths as they split the dual meet with Indiana and Michigan.

Texas outscored the Hoosiers 217.5-82.5 but came up short a point to Michigan, 150.5-149.5.

The men won seven of the 16 events, including five individual competitions and both of the relay events.

Senior swimmer Jimmy Feigen turned heads winning both the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle events, as well as swimming a leg on both relay teams. Other individual swimming winners included Eric Friedland in the 200-yard breaststroke and Kip Darmody in the 200-yard backstroke.

Senior diver Matt Cooper claimed another individual victory by winning the 3-meter diving event with 415.40 points.

The Longhorns captured both the 200-yard medley relay and the 200-yard freestyle relay, with times of 1:29.05 and 1:20.08, respectively.

The team will head to Dallas on Nov. 12 for a showdown with SMU.
