The UT Police Department reported skeletal remains have been found on the West Pickle Research Campus.
UTPD said they were found in a wooded area of the Research Campus in what appears to have once been a transient camp.
The Research Campus is located nine miles north of the UT main campus.
UTPD said it appears that there is no evidence of foul play.
The information about this incident was released through Twitter and Facebook by UTPD this morning, and later through a UT safety alert email.
UTPD is asking people to avoid the area of the West Pickle Research Campus at this time. There is no ongoing threat to the UT main campus or Pickle Research Campus.
